Christmas Trimmings '19

Silent night, holy night (As I sit around by the fireplace, watching the gleaming scene)
All is calm and all is bright (If I had one wish in this world, it would be that all men might be free)
Round yon virgin mother and child (Let’s all join hands, oooh to celebrate the Savior’s birth)
Holy infant, so tender and mild (Let’s give thanks unto the world, for Jesus Christ is born)
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep, sleep in heaven, heavenly peace
— Silent Night, The Temptations

Merry Christmas! I find that the end of the year is when I most reflect on what I am grateful for and the direction I want to set for myself in the year to come. This also happens to be the end of a decade. It has been a decade filled with many blessing for me and I hope for you as well.

There is a rich tradition of music, especially religious music, that really only gets played around this time of year. For me, it helps to set the backdrop to be a bit more reflective. I wanted to start a tradition of my own and share a collection of Christmas, Hanukkah, and holiday themed songs each year. There are some really beautiful renditions of many classics that often don’t get radio play.

You can enjoy this year’s Christmas Trimmings in its entirety in the Spotify playlist to the left.
